Aiden has the Chipmunk Christmas Spirit

Memaw bought this last year or the year before because Andy used to love the chipmunks when he was little. I was getting out Christmas stuff today and introduced them to Aiden. It didn't take him long to figure out how to start and stop the music so he could dance.

Santa Clause is Coming to Town

Aiden went to see Santa today at Lenox. He wasn't too sure about him at first, but there was no screaming or crying involved so I thought he did great! My sister was disappointed that he didn't pull Santa's beard. There's always next year, so live in hope Aunt Jessie. You would have thought the little boy in front of us was being dragged to the guillotine. He screamed, cried, ran, then stopped, dropped and rolled while screaming and all his poor mother could say was, "This was my picture last year." After seeing that I was prepared for the worst, but he sat there pretty good once I got his little hands pried off my shirt. Santa did comment that he must be eating well.... Shocker!

Aiden Videos

It's been a while since I put any videos of Aiden on so I thought it was about time. Some of these were taken last month and some were taken tonight. Enjoy!

This was taken Nov. 7 which was a week shy of 11 months old. Aiden walking around with the remote (nothing new) and talking to Boss.

This is a video of Aiden playing peep-eye (that's Southern for peek-a-boo) with the shower curtain.

Aiden "talking".

This was taken Nov. 21. Can you tell that "uh-oh" is Aiden's favorite word?

We're going to be in trouble when he really figures out the door knob!

Aiden has just learned to really ride his Zebra in the last week or so. He usually rides it with a little more enthusiasm, but this is all I could get out of him tonight.

Thanksgiving Weekend Pictures

Aiden enjoyed his first Thanksgiving. He ate lots of "big people" food including turkey, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, corn, and a little bit of apple pie. Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving and the weekend.

Thanks to Memaw we now know Aiden loves rice cakes:

6 Signs Your Giant Child May Be Having Another Growth Spurt

1. 8:30 pm: Sucks down 8 oz of formula and cereal in less than 5 min.
2. 9:30 pm: Sucks down additional 6 oz and goes to sleep.
3. 12:30 am: Tops off with another 4 oz. Back to sleep
4. 2:30 am: Sucks down another 6 oz. Back to sleep.
5. 6:30 am: You have to get up to make 6 oz more which is promptly sucked down.
(for those of you scoring at home that's 14 oz before bed and 16 oz during the night, and no, I don't really sleep)
6. 8:00 am: Eats ENTIRE 130 calorie jar (including scraping all the sides and bottom repeatedly) of stage 3 mixed cereal with apples and bananas. (This is only the second time he has ever eaten an entire jar of baby food. The other time was when he accidentally slept through the night once.)

Aiden Rides the Pink Pig

Granma and Granpa took Aiden to Lenox for a wonderful Atlanta holiday tradition Monday-- riding the Pink Pig! They also took him shopping at Pottery Barn Kids which he thoroughly enjoyed. They said he loved watching all the people in the mall and loved running around the store because everything was his size.

Aiden's Nanny is getting him this chair for his birthday.

Checking out the price tag.... Did he bring his wallet?

Kit-tee

Our big cat, Ace was sitting in my lap tonight and Aiden walked right up to him, pointed and said, "kit-tee" plain as day. Then he patted him (a little too hard, but more appropriate than pulling out 2 hand fulls of fur) on the head and back. Ace is fairly tolerant so he let Aiden pat him-- until he grabbed Ace by the face and almost poked out his eye. All in all I'd say it was a very successful baby-cat interaction.

Aiden wore a new outfit to school today:

He had to play a little ball before school in his "uniform."

The wind-up. Look out because we're still working on the release point.

This was after school with the anti-skid socks Memaw found.

Take the remote and run!
