Hide and Seek

This is Aiden's favorite hide and seek spot. He really likes it when Boss or Julio (the cat) finds him!

Snow Day

I don't think Andy or I believed we would really have any snow today. Boy, were we wrong! We got a phone call from church about 10 minutes before we were going to head out the door saying that all services were cancelled. Since it wasn't snowing yet (it wasn't even 9 am) we weren't sure why, but then we remembered a lot of our members live in Alabama and we knew it was worse there. I put Aiden down for his nap about 11:15. When I came out of his room Andy said, "Look, it's snowing." And there were these great big flakes falling from the sky. Of course we thought, "It'll never accumulate." Well, within half an hour there was about an inch of white stuff accumulated on the deck. It was still coming down pretty hard when Aiden woke up so I took him to the window to see it and he just stared at it like he had no idea what it was. We got him all bundled up and took him out to play in it a little. I don't know who had more fun-- Aiden or Boss. Thank goodness for the snow suit from Aunt Rocky, the mittens from Memaw, and the UGA toboggan Granma and Granpa got free at a football game!

Here's a video of Aiden and Boss playing in the snow.

Aiden's First Haircut

Aiden has been in dire need of a haircut and since Granma and Granpa were here today we decided to take advantage and try to get it done after dinner. To the left you can see the scraggly, fly-away pre-cut hair. He did pretty good as long as he could head-butt Granpa while Granma cut and Mama documented for posterity. It looks a lot better and Daddy is happy that his mullet is gone. The last 2 pictures are post-hair cut. I was trying to get the back, but he kept turning around to look at the camera.

These are a few pictures of Aiden and Granpa snuggling on the couch this afternoon (with the remote control of course.)

These pictures are of Aiden doing his new favorite thing-- standing on the kitchen table. He has learned that if he pulls himself into a chair at the table he can then easily climb onto the table. I always see really cute pictures of kids smelling flowers and stuff so I thought I'd take advantage of Aiden being on the table and my tulips being on the table and get some of those cute pictures. Yeah, right. Captain Destructo is Andy's pet name for Aiden and Captain Destructo was exactly what I got (notice the drooping tulip he smacked). Oh well, it was a good try. And they are still cute...you can even see the sun setting in the background.

Aiden and Boss Videos

This is a video of Aiden feeding Boss. Boss is a messy eater so Aiden likes to pick up the pieces he scatters. He used to just put them back in his bowl, but now he feeds them to him. Sometimes if there aren't enough pieces on the ground Aiden will dump the bowl out to have more to feed him.

These next 3 are a series of Aiden trying to get Boss out of his chair. I don't know why Boss got in Aiden's chair, but it is pretty funny to watch Aiden try to get him out. As you can see Boss is very stubborn.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here are a couple of lovey-dovey pictures in honor of Valentine's Day! These are the tulips my loving husband gave me because he knows they are my favorite.

Aiden, Boss and Ace were loving each other this morning on the couch. Well, Boss and Ace were loving on the couch when Aiden decided to join them.

Here are a few other pictures from the week as well.

This is Aiden's second favorite place to sit and read.

Granpa hung a swing under our deck for Aiden on Thursday. I think he likes it!

He likes to sit here and look out the window. This is the bin we keep dog food in by the way.

I just thought this was a sweet face.

Drew's First Birthday

Aiden's cousin Drew had his first birthday party Saturday afternoon (his birthday is actually the 11th) so it was a good opportunity for all the cousins to get together and play. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. Aiden needs about 10 minutes to observe and then he is good to go.

Their newest second cousin made his first family appearance too. Ethan Hand was born Monday to Aiden and Drew's cousin Meghan. As usual I took too many pictures so here are plenty for you to enjoy!
